Managing your anger

Anger problems are essentially rooted in a loss of control and a lack of coping strategies. Often, anger is the most accessible and immediate emotion available to us – but it is often an imposter. What we really feel is sadness, fear, guilt, shame, low self-esteem, frustration or stress. It presents as anger because we are either unable to understand how we are feeling or do not have the ability to cope. To me, anger is a secondary emotion and one that can be controlled with the right coping tools.

Together, we will learn to see the world from many different perspectives and really think about another person’s viewpoint. We will arrive at the root of your anger in order to help you understand it. We will identify the triggers and learn how to avoid them. And we will develop a toolkit of coping strategies that will arm you to deal with situations as they arise.

Angry people lose a lot – their relationships suffer, their chances of success decrease and they have a very negative outlook on life in general. There is everything to gain from change.
